The Samsung Galaxy S23 will probably cost more than its predecessor. Here's why.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Pricing
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is the next generation of Samsung phone for the Android operating system. There have been some prices listed from the Twitter user, Roland Quandt, who shares the different prices and some price jumps:
S23 pricing from a Spanish retailer:
— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) January 24, 2023
S23 8/128 959 Euro
S23 8/256 1019 Euro
S23+ 8/256 1209 Euro
S23+ 8/512 1329 Euro
S23 Ultra 8/256 1409 Euro
S23 Ultra 12/512 1589 Euro
The Galaxy S23 appears to start at 959 Euros in Spain, and it will have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of hard drive storage. An Ultra will have 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of hard drive storage. That will cost 1,589 Euros, however.
Take those numbers and compare this to the Samsung Galaxy S22, where the versions of those phones cost 859 Euros and 1,459 Euros respectively when they are not on sale.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Features
The Samsung Galaxy S23 will have a 6.1 inch Dynamic AMOLED display, while the Samsung Galaxy S23+ will have a 6.6 inch Dynamic AMOLED screen. Both of these screens will have an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 with support for a 120 Hz refresh rate and have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. AMOLED means active-matrix-organic-light-emitting-diode.
Both of these phones will get rid of the camera island, which will greatly reduce the protrusion of the rear camera lenses. That is a big design change.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ will come with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and in some markets, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be available with 128 GB of storage.
In some places, there will be one option only, and that is the 256 GB hard drive storage for both devices.
Neither device will come with a microSD slot.
Both cameras will have a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera delivering 3x optical zoom. The 12 MP front-facing selfie camera will have autofocus and carry an f/2.2 aperture. There is 8K video that is shot at 30 frames per second, while 4K video will be shot at 60 frames per second.
What do you think of the newest Samsung Galaxy S23 models? Are they worth the price?
