Nvidia has a GeForce Now RTX 4080, the most advanced cloud gaming platform yet, and you can rent it for $20 a month.
Cloud Gaming
It looks like cloud gaming might be a potential market for consumers. Google had Stadia, which shut down, but that wasn't the end of cloud gaming. Nvidia's Geforce Now streaming service has already made some headway with its RTX 3080 tier and now the RTX 4080 tier alongside HDR and ultrawide resolution support.
This is an incredible option for those that can't afford a couple thousand dollar gaming rig. The Nvidia Geforce Now is the most advanced cloud gaming platform yet and even close to feeling like you are running games on your own PC.
There have been tests done on the GeForce Now Ultimate competitive 240Hz mode using a 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G7 (at 1440p and 240Hz) monitor. The results are pretty incredible.
Applicable Games
There are many games that can take advantage of this incredible technology including Apex Legends, Counter-Strike, Rocket League, Warframe, and Fortnite. Nvidia said it will add more games with support over time.
Nvidia's RTX 4080 servers include 64 teraflops of performance, which is around five times an Xbox Series X performance. It also has full ray tracing and DLSS 3.
I expect to see more games released for this and it will be interesting to see what people's tests are like.
Would you rent Nvidia's GeForce platform for $20 a month?
