charging innovation coming in 2023 at distributech

FLO to showcase leading charging tech at DISTRIBUTECH 2023.

What Is Happening?

A leading North American EV charging network company and a smart charging solutions provider get together and will unveil a new product that will be very important if you care about charging an EV. This will take place at DISTRIBUTECH 2023. This even will take place between February 7 and 9 of 2023 in San Diego, CA.

Demand for EVs is growing so much, and this creates a mindset of solving the problem with innovation. FLO believes their product will lead the way with robust charging solutions and a charging network for the North American market. Talk is cheap, however, because Tesla is currently running away with charging bragging rights in North America.

Even so, charging networks are going to have to evolve and become more reliable and fast for them to become adopted over gas stations. FLO believes their product will exceed the expectations of both EV drivers and charging station owners.

Let's take a look now at what FLO supposedly offers.

The FLO Charger

FLO has a mission statement which says that they operate a complete EV charging network for drivers to plug in wherever they are - at home, at work, or on the go. They provide a simple and seamless experience and are one of the largest EV charging networks in North America.

A charging network on the go? That sounds interesting. FLO also partners with homes and office spaces to offer charging for electric vehicles. Their workplace charging stations are fully integrated into the FLO ecosystem, which allows you to use a FLO card or mobile app to activate the station and use it.

FLO's website doesn't give much detail about price or how many kW you get at a charging station, however. FLO on the go appears to be a partnership with Greenlots, ChargePoint, Electric Circuit, BC Hydro EV, eCharge Network at no extra charge.

The big question is - what special thing will FLO charging demonstrate at DISTRIBUTECH. I'm seeing nothing out of the ordinary from their website beyond them saying they have 75,000 fast and level 2 charging stations deployed at public, private, and residential locations across North America. If I happen to find one, I'll use it and write more about that.

What do you think FLO charging will show off at DISTRIBUTECH 2023?
