There are many exciting technologies being developed today. Here are four that I think are going to be the most game-changing for the world.
Artificial intelligence (AI):
AI is a branch of computer science that deals with the creation of intelligent agents, which are systems that can reason, learn, and act autonomously. AI has the potential to revolutionize many industries, including healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing.
Three of the primary AI systems of today are Google Bard, Open AI's ChatGPT, and Tesla's AI doing autonomous driving and running its Tesla Bot. I also see Tesla developing a natural language AI to compete with Bard and ChatGPT.
Blockchain:
Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that allows for secure, transparent, and tamper-proof transactions. Blockchain is the underlying technology behind Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but it has the potential to be used for a variety of other applications, such as supply chain management and financial transactions.
The blockchain is a disruption for the outdated processes of electronic currency in the world today. Banks will get disrupted by this and when the mismanagement of currency becomes too much, people will turn to a central blockchain currency like Bitcoin to safeguard their wealth due to its accuracy, speed, and lack of being controlled by a central body.
Virtual reality (VR):
VR is a computer-generated simulation that can be used to create realistic experiences. VR has the potential to be used for a variety of applications, such as education, training, and entertainment.
Current computer games will eventually be disrupted by VR. When it becomes easy and effortless to put on a VR headset, and it doesn't weight a lot, people will opt to use those instead.
Augmented reality (AR):
AR is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world. AR has the potential to be used for a variety of applications, such as navigation, shopping, and gaming.
AR can assist you in the real world. Google at one point was making a product called Google Glass, but I think they cancelled it like due to privacy concerns. A product like this would sure be handy in the real world though to identify places and give suggestions.
These are just a few of the many exciting technologies being developed today. It will be interesting to see how these technologies develop and what impact they have on our world in the future.
