the white house is finally getting involved with ai development elon musk wasnt there

Many top leaders from tech companies in the U.S. met with President Biden today to discuss artificial intelligence and the dangers involved. President Biden says it has enormous potential but could be dangerous and is hoping that the CEOs can educate the White House and U.S. government on what to do.

Elon Musk Wasn't There

Elon Musk was not at this meeting, but should have been, as he is one of the most involved and connected people to the AI space. He helped found and fund OpenAI and is helping developer AI withing Tesla for its humanoid robot and for its self-driving cars.

Elon Musk has been an advocate for UBI (Universal Basic Income) and that this will be needed as AI and humanoid robots begin to disrupt and take care of labor that is typically done by humans.

Is It Too Late?

Is it too late to have this meeting about AI? I look at AI as a genie that has been let out of a bottle. This genie is not going back in, no matter what the government - or any government - in the world tries to do.

All that can be done now is to try and get some guidance on how future development of AI is done so that it ends up not being harmful to civilization.

Do you think it is too late for AI to be talked about at the White House and to have regulation? Is the genie out of the bottle?
